Reno game
Quote from BSUaddict on December 28, 2022, 10:39 pmFrustrating game. Officiating was atrocious and sadly couldn't come up with one stop at the end that we needed. Doesn't help 2 of our better defenders foul out with under 5 mins left in the game. Ultimately that became the difference on the last defensive possession. My only takeaways from this game are that we desperately need either Milner and Sylla to step up on either end of the court. Deggie and Smith should not be forced to man up other teams centers all game. That is what led to their foul troubles and ultimately put us in a real bad spot with little time left. I'm not going to harp on Kuzmanovic too much on that last defensive possession that led to the winning bucket. He should not have been on blackshear unless he was forced to switch onto him from a screen. He didn't get any help either when Blackshear drove in which makes it all the more confusing. Agbo and or Rice needed to be on him with the guys we had on the court. We still cannot find any bench scoring. 3 total points off the bench and 2 of them came from Kuzy's last shot that gave us the lead prior to the last possession.
Our guys will bounce back. Long conference season and so far it looks like its going to be even more of a grind than what last season was. Still lots of time to improve.

Anyone have an update on NgaNga? I know he injured an ankle a couple of games ago.
On the recruiting front, I see we received a commitment from a 6’8”/235 Nigerian-Dutch player, Emmanuel Ugbo. He held some offers from some decent mid major programs. Hopefully a diamond in the rough. Go Broncos!

I haven't heard anything on NgaNga. I wouldn't be surprised if they maybe sit him for a few more games until hes fully ready if its hindering him.
One thing Leon will always be elite at is evaluating and developing players. Getting a guy with that kind of build probably has him all giddy on the inside. The vision he has for this team is a bunch of athletic dudes between like 6'6-6'1. Kind of like what Musselman did at Nevada and What SDSU typically does. Just hope we can find a center for next season if Milner/Sylla are not able to step up their games for the rest of this season.
