Predictions for Saturday's game against Utah State?
Quote from Collin Mitchell on January 6, 2023, 11:12 amI haven't looked deep into what Las Vegas is predicting for Saturday's matchup, but I would figure that the line would be set pretty close to even.
The discussion forum isn't going to like this, but I've got the Aggies beating the Broncos 72-63. Boise State's bench only providing 10 points in the past two games weighed in heavily with my prediction.

Quote from BSUaddict on January 6, 2023, 10:00 pmI think we matchup well when it comes to our starting 5 vs theirs. My biggest worry that you brought up is our lack of production from the bench. We will get solid minutes from guys but nothing really to write home about in the scoring column that we desperately need. If we can stay out of foul trouble I think we will get the job done and the score will be 66-63 type of score. The low scoring games benefits us and our playstyle. If we allow this game to get into the mid 70s to low 80s that's where I think it'll play into the Aggies hands and eventually overwhelm us.

I stand corrected! What a performance from Boise State to beat the Aggies 82-59.

Quote from BSUaddict on January 7, 2023, 11:48 pmSame. My 2 biggest worries actually became a strength in this game. 1. We got 18 points from our bench. I really did not think of all the games we have played up to this point, this would be the one where our bench shines. Not only giving us quality minutes but contributing in the scoring column in a big way as well. Especially in a game where we nearly had 2 guys foul out with quite a bit of time left in the game. Also helps out when you shoot nearly 60% from 3 for the entirety of the game. 2. I really thought that our best chances of winning tonight is if it became low scoring in the high 50s or 60s. Did not think we would route them as badly as we did. Our defense wasn't as stout as what it typically is. I do feel like we gave up quite a few open chances for a really good 3 point shooting team and they were ice cold for majority of the game. Still a very solid effort though and made them pay for misses. Did not allow them to get many 2nd chance points, if any at all. Won the rebounding margin 41-29. For us having to utilize a smaller lineup for majority of the game that is an impressive feat.

Still can't believe that Collin picked the Ags.
