We have two great post men in Cam Martin and Omar Stanley. Great play. Meadows is doing great too. Rice is freely substituting and the team is show good cohesiveness. Great season coming.

Quote from BSUaddict on November 8, 2023, 9:25 amIts difficult to really get a feel for a team when they play in matchups like this (although with our non con schedule, games like this are appreciated 😂). Here are a few things that stood out to me:
- Cam Martin reminds me a lot of Ryan Watkins. Undersized guys who are physical and can hold their ground against anyone.
- I think Omar Stanley will become a fan favorite once we get to know these players a lot more. Plays with high energy and a gritty player
- Perimeter shooting % was pretty bad last night but as BJ said, that will not be a trend. We created good looks. They just werent falling. Impressive to think that we still almost put up 100 and shot only 12% from 3.
- Potentially the deepest team in depth we have ever had. Could definitely see us being able to roll with a steady 8 man rotation for the season
- Buzo looks noticeably bigger this year. BJ said he added about 15-20 pounds in the offseason and wants to be able to elevate his game more and not just be a spot up shooter on offense. Be able to drive it and finish around the rim will open up this offense even more.
We rotated in just about everyone who was suited up last night but I definitely expect there will still be a rotation of 8 guys. Maybe 9 if things turn out really well. Anderson, Rice, Buzo, Deggie, Martin seems like the starting 5. Then being able to bring Stanley, Whiting and a mix of Keane or Young off the bench is going to pay dividends once the season gets rolling. Hopefully wont have to rely on the starting 5 to play 35+ minutes a piece. I need to see more of Meadows before I feel confident in saying that he will for sure get meaningful minutes as the season goes on. Super talented player and could be a big boost if he can come on for Deggie and give us 5-7 minutes per game.
