Answer to the question most Bronco fans want to know right now
Quote from Bronco7454 on December 2, 2021, 1:14 pmI think the main question that most Boise State football fans want to have answered right now is WHO (exactly) will be returning for the 2022 season. As I understand it the N.C.A.A. will allow so-called Super Seniors to return for 2022 HOWEVER they will have to do so within the 85 total scholarship limit. So obviously not all 2021 Seniors will be able to return even if they want to.
Right now I count 99 SCHOLARSHIP players on the Boise State football team but that includes ALL 2021 Seniors and all of the known 2022 verbal commitments to date. And obviously that number is going to have to be reduced to 85 total.

Quote from football53 on December 2, 2021, 3:12 pmI didn't count Kelemete or Scale but I only counted 86 scholarship players. I could be off but it sure isnt 99.

Quote from BSUaddict on December 2, 2021, 3:25 pmStaff is going to make some hard decisions if we are indeed way over the limit. What BYU did was really smart at the beginning of NIL. Company came in and sponsored x amount of walk ons who dont have to pay tuition. Wonder if we have someone/company in Boise who could possibly do that for our walk ons. Creative way around the 85 scholarship limit

Quote from 8ntmuch on December 2, 2021, 4:15 pmI believe there were 7 super seniors (minus 1 for CT) that wouldn't count towards that cap. Kelemete has medically retired as has another player (not yet announced). Scale from what I understand can still come back next year. We know Shakir isn't coming back. Jack transferred out (assuming a couple more will). I think we will have about 5 (give or take) super seniors. Room for the 85 shouldn't be an issue.

Apparently you didn't read this part of what I wrote "includes ALL 2021 Seniors and all of the known 2022 verbal commitments to date." Either that or reading comprehension is just not a strength of yours.
