Quote from Blake Spain on January 12, 2024, 10:15 pmAs we sit there is 10 to go in the second half we are up 10. The tough schedule put together by Leon is showing in this game. We have the grit. And are showing experience. People didn't think it was a good move to start so tough, but clearly it was.

Quote from BSUBass77 on January 13, 2024, 9:05 amIf this team could figure out a way to limit the turnovers to under 12, it would be one of the best teams BSU has ever had, and the best team in the MWC.
Looking at the numbers, it wasn't Roddie last night . He had an untimely turnover in the last few minutes, but only 2 for the night. But everyone else had turnovers which added up to 18 for the night. Nevada controlled their turnovers pretty well reaching only 11. The gave them an advantage with points off turnovers of 23 and BSU had 16 points. So all things being the same (which they never are in basketball) we could have added seven points to the eight point win. While an eight point win at a 15-1 Nevada team is a good thing to have, a fifteen point win would start turning some heads.

Quote from BroncoChief on January 13, 2024, 9:39 amNevada has one of the better defenses around, hopefully the boys can take something from playing against the pressure and get better. The Bronco defense was the story of this game, they were elite. Although TOs are an easy number to gauge the D, the fact Nevada was held to 36% shooting, out rebounded by 19, and scored nearly 20 points below season average…at home speaks volumes about how strong the Bronco D was. They posted similar numbers against Colo St earlier in the week.
Next week are home games against UNLV, Tues at 8 and SanDiego St on Saturday at 11. Two huge games to protect the 22 home game winning streak. Saturday’s game is nationally televised on CBS. Two sell-outs are musts! Go Broncos!

Quote from Railroader on January 13, 2024, 9:41 amWe jumped from 57 to 42 in Net ratings. Huge. Now beat UNLV and SDSU at home next week. Big week coming up, win both and we would have survived a gauntlet.
