Rafter, the Mod and owner of Bronco Country Board, is saying that he heard we have a verbal commit (QB).  He hedges his bet that its a rumor and will see if he shows up in Boise.  Lots of movement today, maybe more after today's games.

Go Broncos!

Since im all about playing the best hypothetical scenario. If the rumor is true, leads me to believe that its more likely to be Dylan Morris than anyone else. Can't really find another reason as to why a verbal commit from the portal would be silent at this point without a logical reason. Morris situation probably fits best with that. I think he made his intentions clear he was entering the portal but wanted to finish the year out with his team before he made a decision on where he will be playing at in 2024.

At this point this is what I am nearly certain is happening. Nothing else makes logical sense. Morris is waiting for his season to be over and then announce. The thought of a National Championship Backup QB is pretty cool, unproven, but cool.

Wow.  Just WOW!  Forget about those other QB's.  Malachi Nelson, RS Frosh from USC, the #1 QB in 2023 Class signings, will visit Boise.  Per Pete Thanel we are the favorite.  Malachi is a 99 grade 5* QB and he wants to work in a blue collar place.

I see there is a story on ESPN about this as well:

Last year that Boise State had a player on their football roster from Los Alamitos H.S. was back in 2019.  That being DT Matt Locher.

There is a poster on Bronco Country saying that Malachi arrives in Boise today and stays through Sunday.  We are the only school he is visiting. Hopefully we can come up with a NIL package like Jeanty to help with the recruiting.

Go Broncos!

Malachi is scheduled to arrive at the Boise airport tonight at 9:45.  Chatter says that there will be a welcoming committee to greet him.  A poster BroncoBleymaier is saying that he will sigh tomorrow.

Go Broncos!

We also just got a 6’2” 2 year CB starter for Cal, 2nd team freshman All American.  Jeremiah Earby is his name.  Could add more depth to another position in need of more competition.  Could another WR be next???  Go Broncos!

Pretty cool news but I’d wait to get too excited until after he actually signs. Remember this kid was THE number one QB recruit in the country just last year with offers from everyone and still has four years of eligibility left. I also saw where his dad said he thought they’d take 2 maybe 3 visits and sign pretty quick. So I’m guessing if Boise State has a real chance it’ll be to wow him while he’s here and get him to sign before he leaves. I’m guessing any power five school he visits is gonna blow him away with a NIL deal.
