Harsin's frustration was with the prior MWC Commissioner and Boise State's athletic leadership. Lack of promotion by the MWC's prior commissioner and the flat out lazy leadership from our prior athletic director were at the root of his frustration. Harsin thought more promotion should have been done for the MWC and Boise State. Watching as the American surpassed the Mountain West and lack off commitment from the MWC to improve the conference were the root of his desire to leave the conference and explore the American and others.
In his first article here Jordan states "For being a first-time conference commissioner in her first year on the job, Nevarez has handled turbulence with bravado and confidence." -- Bold emphasis mine.
Thirty seconds of research on Google would provide one with Gloria Nevarez's biography which points out she was the full time commissioner of the West Coast Conference since 2018 and instrumental in keeping Gonzaga in the league when they were flirting with the MWC and others.
