Update on former Boise State softball player

Bella Rocco was Boise State's starting third base player for several years before she transferred to fellow Mountain West foe Fresno State after the 2022 season.  Here is how she is doing so far thru Fresno State's first 9 games this season. Rocco has started all nine games at 3B for Fresno State this season and to date she has had zero errors.  However she is batting .172 with a .582 OPS in 29 at bats.  She has had only 5 hits this season (3 doubles - 0 triples - 0 home runs) and has also driven in 5 runs.  Her slugging % is only .276 and her on base % is .306.

I mention all of this because Fresno State's game today vs. Idaho State will be on the Mountain West streaming channel today at 3:30 p.m. MT in case anyone cares to watch.  You can also watch it on the Mountain West online Broadcast Guide as well:

Idaho State, as some know, is coached by three people who either played or coached at Boise State.   The head softball coach is former Boise State assistant softball coach Andrew Rich.  And his two assistant softball coaches at Idaho State are former Boise State "star" softball players Rebekah Cervantes and Kelsey Broadus.

Idaho State and Fresno State will also play a doubleheader against each other on Thursday of this week in Fresno with game one scheduled for 4:30 p.m. MT and game two scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.  Both of those games can be watched online via the Fresno State softball schedule links for those two games.  The 2nd game of that Thursday doubleheader between Idaho State and Fresno State can be watched via the Mountain West Network.
