San Diego State softball got a somewhat late start on adding transfers for the 2024 season since they had to play longer than any other team in the MWC due to their College World Series games. But they have outpaced just about every other team in the MWC so far with these five additions (below). It looks like they have every intention of winning the tournament next season (again). So far they have 5 transfers from Washington, U.C.L.A., Univ. of Central Florida, Virginia and Dartmouth (all infielders).
3B - Angela Yellen - 2024 RS SO - Washington transfer - D.N.P. at all for WA in 2023 - In 2022 - as a True FR - she batted .290 in 31 AB - Played in 30 games & started 11. She had an OPS of 1,194 and a Slugging % of .742
C/1B - Alyssa Garcia - 2024 RS SR - U.C.L.A. transfer - .221 BA - 68 AB - 38 GP - 23 GS
2B - Micaela Macario - 2024 JR - U.C.F. transfer - .308 BA - 107 AB - 47 GP - 43 GS for UCS in 2023 - Named as the American Athletic Conference Softball Rookie of the Year in 2022.
SS/3B - Katie Goldberg - 2024 5th year SR - Virginia transfer - 2023 STATS = .274 BA - 146 AB - 52 GP - 52 GS
SS – Kate Farren – 2024 5th year SR - Dartmouth transfer - .314 BA – 118 AB – 39 GP- 39 GS
