Questions for Jeramiah Dickey?

Page 1 of 2Next

Boise State Athletic Director Jeramiah Dickey will do a live interview with Bronco Nation News at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday) on our social media channels.

Giving paid subscribers a chance to ask some questions. Reply with questions you have for Boise State's AD and I will do my best to ask them during our interview!

Thanks!

Timeline for stadium expansion or stadium upgrades?

Any chance they will be increasing the assistant salary pool in the football program? This question may be hard to ask if it means coaches losing jobs or just leaving.

Another question that he probably wont answer but is Coach Rice on the hot seat?

BJ - you should also ask Dickey if he really is serious that folks who express doubts/concerns/frustrations with coaches, especially those who want Plough gone, are "energy vampires?"  That is unfair to the Bronco fans who have a right to question some of the many dumb decisions Plough makes.  Is Dickey thinking like Harsin and his "Twidiots" comments?  We fans do have high standards, nothing wrong with that, but this football season was really bad with offensive play calling and the fans have the right to call that out.  An AD who "ignores" those fans runs the risk of losing those fans if he thinks they are not important enough.

Is he attempting to make inroads with Idaho companies (Micron/Albertsons/Winco/Etc) looking for a substantial and continuous (long-term) donation(s) to support athletics? Would be nice to have a donor like Oregon has with Nike. I know that's awfully lofty, but a guy can dream. And if he/they are making these attempts...what has been the interest level and/or what is preventing companies from making these contributions?

What's up with blocking off alternating rows in the student section at ExtraMile Arena? Will that continue through conference play? What's the reasoning?

Nearly all streets that were open for public parking are now permit required. Really makes it inconvenient to park for basketball games. Part of a bigger design to increase parking fee revenue?

I know we are pushing hard for 10,000 BAA members(1,000 by the end of 2021). Is there an update on how close to each goal we are?

Bringing back the retro logo was a universal hit.  Is the logo going to stay around, and will we see apparel/merchandise available to purchase, hard to get apparel with the reimagined logo.

Two questions.

First:  Assuming that Boise State can ill afford to have more football seasons like this current season, and with the sense of urgency that the AD has spoken about..... what are the plans regarding coaching changes going to look like if we see more seasons like this year.  Be they assistants or the head coach.  Of course there has been a lot of talk about Tim Plough.  Does the sense of urgency play into the staff as well?

Second:  In a few years, if the COVID issues go away, and we see solid numbers for BAA and financials, is there any chance for a push to get the baseball team back.  I know the president said no, but that team was something many people including myself were excited to have back.

Thanks BJ!

I'm curious what ideas he has to increase the fan experience at football games? I love going to games, being loud, and supporting our team. However, watching from home like I did a few times this year is becoming more and more intriguing. I know this is more a CFB issue and less of a BSU issue but would like to hear his thoughts.

Is there any interest in setting up a BAA chapters outside of the Treasure Valley? I know I've talked about it on social media before, but seems like there are some potentially untapped resources (season ticket holders/donors) in Eastern Idaho and the Magic Valley.  I know I'm not the lone season ticket holder in Idaho Falls...And in their drive to 10,000 members in my opinion it would seem reasonable to cast a wider net to other parts of the State, with BSU being the flagship program in Idaho.
