QB play in the conference is going to be much improved this season. Just for fun ill rank each QB where I have them going into this season since you have them listed:

  1. Taylen Green: Yes I am very biased in this. Don't need a long explanation. The steps he took in the passing game last season was super impressive. Each game he got better and better.
  2. Chevan Cordeiro: Outside of Taylen, probably my favorite QB to watch in the conference. Him transferring to SJSU was a little bit of a shock but Coach Brennan is getting the most out of CC. You could see the talent when he was at Hawaii. Coach Brennan was able to limit some of his wildness in the passing game and get him to get out of the "I have to do everything mindset".
  3. Clay Millen: Next 3 QBs are very interchangeable for me. I really like Millen's upside though. He was much more comfortable towards the tail end of last season and I believe overall that CSU will have a much better offense coming into this season and Millen will be a big reason as to why.
  4. Mikey Keene: This was a very sneaky portal addition by Fresno that went under the radar from many who don't know much about Keene. He didn't get a ton of snaps in '22 compared to the '21 season. That doesn't bother me though. He has shown that he is more than capable of leading a team and playing in Tedford's offense I expect him to put up some big numbers. It would not shock me at all if he ended up being 1st team all conference.
  5. Doug Brumfield: He's coming off very much a up and down year. He was lights out the first half of the season and looked to be a player UNLV fans could finally be excited about. Then once he got hurt against San Jose State at the halfway mark of the season, he wasn't really able to recapture that consistency he had. I hope the new staff doesn't hurt his development and they can continue to try and elevate his game.
  6. Jalen Mayden: It's no secret that the Aztecs have had a pretty abysmal passing game the last, who knows how many years exactly. Once Jalen got inserted as the starting QB (transitioned from safety) he injected a much needed pulse for that offense. Is he super polished? No. BUT he offers plenty of upside for a rather anemic offense. Cut down on the turnovers (kid tried forcing throws and tbh i cant blame him) and find a way to utilize his legs in the run game and all of a sudden you have an Aztec team that can be very scary to play against.
  7. Brayden Schager: A lot of what I said about Mayden can be applied here as well. Listen, Hawaii wasnt a good team last season but as the year went on they were showing signs of life. The Run and Shoot offense can be a nightmare to prepare against but Schager has to limit his turnovers and take care of the ball.

8-12: This is where it becomes difficult to say which QBs are better than the other. So many questions that I really don't have answers for. Legas and Peasely both flashed good moments last season but neither guy really strike me as the dude for their teams. Peasely is a game manager and Wyoming's offense is never going to be a consistent threat in the passing game in Bohl's system (outside of the Josh Allen years). Legas much of the same. The difference with him is that Utah State's offense is more friendly to QBs when it comes to making quick and easy reads. I can see him putting up some good numbers this season but at the same time I can see him not finishing the year as their starter either.
