Predictions for this weekend's MWC football games

To sum it up I think every MWC team that is favored in this week's Mountain West Conference games will win their games.

FRIDAY

Fresno State favored by 9 1/2 pts @ U.N.L.V. (Pick is Fresno State)

SATURDAY

Air Force favored by 22 pts over New Mexico (Pick is Air Force)

Wyoming favored by 8 1/2 pts @ Colorado State (Pick is Wyoming)

Utah State favored by 11 1/2 pts @ Hawai'i (Pick is Utah State)

San Jose State favored by 2 1/2 pts @ San Diego State (Pick is San Jose State)

Boise State favored by 20 1/2 pts @ Nevada (Pick is Boise State)

Note that in five of these six games the road team is favored to win.

New Mexico - 0-6

WEST DIVISION

San Jose really needs Fresno to trip up here in the last couple weeks of the season while taking care of business themselves. That game the Spartans loss to Fresno(without Haener and their stud safety) was such a gut punch for them. Dont think UNLV will give Fresno much issues since it seems like the Dogs are near full strength. They still have a game vs Wyoming last week of the season so that will be one to watch. San Jose State if they get by SDSU has pretty much a easy path their last two games.

I am curious about the next few Wyoming games as it seems like they will be pretty consequential for the conference championship.

Wyoming finishes with Hawaii - win, Boise State - loss (although this one worries me), and at Fresno State - loss as Fresno will be playing at home and possibly a berth in the MW championship game.  BSU wins and they’re in. Go Broncos!

Yup Wyoming is indeed the big one for us. Cannot afford to drop any of the 2 either. If we beat Wyoming it basically guarantees us our spot in the conference championship game even if for some reason we fell to Utah State at the end of the year as we would hold the tie breaker. Playing in Laramie will be no easy task. Cowboys are always tough on Defense and I imagine the weather will play a factor as well.

If Fresno can beat Wyoming then even if we lose to Wyoming we're still in, assuming we win the other 2 games. Obviously that's not ideal but definitely could happen. I'm liking our chances.

San Jose State is going to have their hands full this week @ San Diego State.  The Spartans are only favored in that game by 2 1/2 points and if SDSU is on their game (their starting QB these days has a QB Efficiency Rating of about 146 I believe) they could very easily lose that game.  SDSU may not be the same Aztecs team of the recent past but they are no pushovers either.
