I like Boise State's current situation in Men's BB

Call me crazy if you want but I think Boise State is perfectly positioned right now in men's BB.  They are currently 7-4 and in 4th place in the current standings (after last night's wins by San Diego State and New Mexico over CSU and Nevada).   But the remaining games on Boise State's schedule are primarily against teams in the mid to lower end of the current standings.

First up is the game on this Saturday vs. Fresno State in Boise.  Fresno State is currently in 9th place in the MWC standings with a record 180 degrees opposite of Boise State, i.e., 4-7 vs. 7-4.   And Fresno State plays host to U.N.L.V. (6-4 in MWC) tonight while Boise State is basically having a full week off.

Next Tuesday Boise State plays host again vs. lowly San Jose State which is now 10th (of 11 teams) in the current MWC standings with a 2-10 MWC record.   And they host Wyoming (5-5) on Saturday.

Then Boise State plays @ 5-5 Wyoming.

Then Boise State plays @ last place Air Force (1-11)

Then Boise State hosts New Mexico - who Boise State beat by 8 pts @ New Mexico earlier this season

Then Boise State hosts Nevada - who Boise State also beat by 8 pts @ Nevada earlier this season

Before concluding the regular season @ San Diego State who Boise State beat by 1 point (after blowing a big lead in that game) earlier this season.

I see every single one of their remaining games as "winnable" games.   Meanwhile the teams currently ahead of them have - IMO - a much tougher remaining conference schedule.  Boise State would appear to be in perfect position to move up the standings in their last seven games while the three teams ahead of them right now appear to be in position to drop in the standings.

I agree. Let's root for Wyoming tonight because the end of their schedule gets easier as well.
