returning starters for 2024 ................IF...............everyone who has eligibility remaining chooses to return for next season. By my count there would be 7 returning starters on offense and 8 returning starters on defense.

OFFENSE

QB - Taylen Green - 2024 RS JR - 12 Starts

RB - Ashton Jeanty - 2024 True JR - 10 starts (his last year at BSU?)

TE - Matt Lauter - 2024 RS JR - 8 starts

LT - Kage Casey - 2024 RS SO - 13 starts

OG/OC - Mason Randolph - 2024 RS JR - 10 starts

OG - Roger Carreon - 2024 RS SO - 8 starts

OG/OT - Ben Dooley - 2024 6th year SR - 9 starts

DEFENSE

DE - Ahmed Hassanein - 2024 True JR - 12 starts

DT - Braxton Fely - 2024 True JR - 12 starts

NT - Herbert Gums - 2024 RS SR - 12 starts

The likely 2024 starters for the positions where there would not be a returning starter would likely be the following based on # of starts this season and or game played this season. Again - this is "assuming" that everyone who has eligibility remaining chooses to return for the 2024 season.

OFFENSE

WR - Austin Bolt - 2024 RS SR - 5 starts (played in 5 games total)

WR - Shea Whiting - 2024 6th year SR - 4 starts (played in 12 games total)

WR - Prince Strachan - 2024 True SO - 2 starts (played in 12 games total)

OT - Ethan Carde - 2024 6th year SR - 1 start (played in 10 games total)

DEFENSE

DE - Jayden Virgin - 2024 RS SO - 5 starts (played in all 13 games total)

LB - Marco Notarainni - 2024 RS JR - 5 starts (played in 8 games total)

CB - A'Marion McCoy - 2024 4th year SR - 6 starts (played in 12 games)

However there are two other CB's who have just as many starts in 2022 as McCoy. That being Markel Reed - 2024 6th year SR - 6 starts (played in 9 games) and Kaonohi Kaniho - 2024 RS SR - 6 starts (played in 12 games)

Now that Danielson has been promoted to the head coach and is now longer the "interim" head coach I think a lot of the players who have eligibility remaining but were considering a transfer elsewhere or no longer playing football are likely to return for one (or more) year at Boise State.
