Fresno State softball adds two solid players for 2024

To replace SS Alesia Denby (who is in the transfer portal)

From CAL - 2B/SS - D'Asha Saiki - 2024 5th year SR - Started 101 games for Cal in the last four years - Batted .261 in 2023

From UTAH TECH - SS - Lauren Almeida - 2024 JR - Started all 104 games for Utah Tech the last two seasons. She batted .412 in 2023 and .346 in 2022.

Speaking of Denby I HOPE that Boise State is trying to sign Denby for 2024.

Denby going to ASU

Yep - ASU has - so far - signed 4 transfers for 2024. Denby and Kelsey Hall were teammates at Fresno State a few years ago and will be again for the 2024 season at Arizona State.

Just saw that San Diego State's starting Shortstop (started all 56 games in 2023) Julian Celis has entered the transfer portal. Her stats from 2023 were as follows:

SS - Jillian Celis – 2024 4^th year SR - .343 BA in 2023 - .968 OPS – 178 AB - .556 SLG % - .412 OB %

Just thought that interesting since Boise State is in need of a shortstop for 2024. But I suppose N.I.L. $$$ will determine where she goes.
