Add Purdy's transfer to the other incoming and outgoing QB transfers to and from other MWC teams and you have:

Florida State's A. J. Duffy transferring to San Diego State

U.S.C.'s Malachi Nelson transferring to Boise State

U.N.L.V.'s Jayden Maiava transferring to U.S.C.

Utah's Bryson Barnes transferring to Utah State

I find it odd that U.N.L.V. has not added a QB after Maiava entered the T.P.

They apparently did add a QB but he's from Campbell University (FCS) and is unranked. Someone named Hajj-Malik Williams who was a RS Senior last fall for Campbell - https://gocamels.com/sports/football/roster/hajj-malik-williams/9740

I would be surprised if UNLV didnt add Matthew Sluka from Holy Cross. Dude would be the perfect fit for 1 season in their offense. He would be a nightmare to defend for MW defenses.

EDIT: Looks like Sluka is indeed committing to UNLV. Perfect spot for him for his last year of eligibility.

Nice prediction!!

I watched some video of Sluka and he looks (to me) to be a shorter & slower Caucasian version of Taylen Green, i.e., good runner, not a great passer.

He can most certainly get better in the passing game but UNLVs offense is tailored to this kids skillset. He is going to be a nightmare for DC's around the conference. Guy is a legitimate threat to get 100 yards rushing every game and he doesnt turn the ball over. His TD (pass and run) to turnover ratio is absurd. This is the perfect 1 year stop for him. I think hes an upgrade over Maiava (still very good in his own right) and allows the staff to develop some younger guys behind him for a season while this team should be in contention for the conference title again

Bottom line is U.N.L.V. - apparently - has replaced Jayden Maiava with not one but TWO F.C.S. quarterbacks (from Campbell University and Holy Cross). Neither one of them has played a single down of FBS football in their respective careers.
