Well, it was known that DD was a problem at Arizona. It seem that it came home again that he was too much of a problem for BSU. So maybe people expected it. Maybe DD was not the best player. Maybe the negatives became too much to deal with compared with the positives. The gamble just didn't pay off.
In the short run, we lose more games without him. In the long run, the program will be better.
