It would seem to me that at least a couple of these 8 current Seniors MIGHT want to return and it seems unlikely (to me at least) that all 8 of them will opt out and not return for the 2025 season. So it looks (to me) that there is the possibility of a "log-jam" so to speak in the near future with nine signed new players coming in and perhaps only four or five current Seniors choosing not to return for the 2025 season.
With NINE players who have already signed to play for the Boise State softball team beginning next fall and eight current players who are listed on the current Boise State softball team roster as 5th year Seniors or RS Seniors or Seniors it does not seem very likely that any of those Seniors will be back for the 2025 season. Those 8 current Seniors are:

So I would think - due to their very limited playing time - they would all three qualify for 2021 being a redshirt year. Taylor, as I'm sure you know, appeared in 23 games in 2021 with 13 starts so a redshirt year for her would not apply.
I know in football a player can play in as many as 4 of their 12 (or more) games and still use their redshirt year for that season.
