Boise State home runs stat for this season

Separate Boise State's home runs this season into those hit in non-conference play and those hit in conference play and the following is what you get:

NON-CONFERENCE GAMES..............................................CONFERENCE GAMES

38 home runs in 24 games (1.58 HR /game)........31 home runs in 15 games (2.07 HR / game)

In other words Boise State is hitting nearly 1/2 more home runs per game than they did vs. their non-conference opponents (so far).

Testament to how well we scheduled out of conference. Schultz had the right mindset when setting up this schedule and its obviously paid off in the long run for the program this season when conference play started. Hall has been on a different planet at the plate in conference play. OBP of nearly .700 and then OPS of over 2.0?????? That is absurd no matter the level of play. It doesn't just stop at her either. 5 of the top 10 overall hitters in the MW come from our Broncos as well.

If you want to nitpick this team then the spot to do it is on the mound. About middle of the conference in ERA and bottom third in opponents Batting Average. Other then that, this is about as well rounded of a team as you could ask for.

We took a hit playing huge teams to start, I wonder what the ERA is if you take away that weekend.

The conference stats are indeed a lot better.
