Hey guys, been getting a ton of emails and DMs and questions about Boise State's bowl destination.

I don't have any concrete information, but I've poked around and things appear to still be the same.

Boise State seems to have three options: Potato Bowl, Arizona Bowl or one of the Dallas bowls (OK I guess that would make it more than three).

I was told the Arizona Bowl was the leading landing spot earlier in the week, which is why the Potato Bowl has picked up steam. Don't think the players or staff have much interest in practicing for 10 more days, getting a much smaller break before the start of the semester and having Christmas plans potentially messed up just to play a bad MAC team in a game that's not even on TV.

If Arizona Bowl is the only other option, don't the Broncos have to push for the Potato Bowl?

But, and I should stress this important fact, I was told that even if Boise State called the Potato Bowl and said "we want in", it's not that easy. A lot of stuff would still have to happen and a lot of juggling would need to be done to make it happen. That all could happen, and frankly probably would, but its not a done deal just when Boise State says we're in.

The conference probably would love to have Boise State stay home to save money and sell more tickets, and of course the Potato Bowl would want the Broncos in the game, but it's not as easy as just putting them there as soon as Boise State says yes. I was told even if Boise State wants in, a lot would still have to happen to make it work. But again, you'd think they would do whatever it takes to make it happen if the Broncos want in.

I think a lot still depends on the opponent, but again, Boise State is 7-5 and doesn't have a ton of pull.

The preference probably would be to go to Dallas and play in the Frisco Bowl on the 21st. I think that checks a lot of boxes. But I could see San Diego State now being in line for something like that after losing today.

A lot can still happen, and trust me that I'm doing what I can to find out as soon as possible, but I won't be throwing stuff against the wall to see what sticks. I'll only report what I know and what I believe to be credible information.

So with all that said, this is how I'd rank the possibilities at this point, as of 6 p.m. on Saturday night...

-Potato Bowl

-Arizona Bowl

-Dallas area bowl

Nothing is set and a lot can still change. Heck some bowl we're not even thinking about could come into the picture late. But I do believe there's a decent chance Boise State ends up in the Potato Bowl when it's all said and done. It just makes the most sense for everybody involved.
