B.Y.U. caught LYING yet again!

Most Boise State fans remember that we once had a 3rd string true freshman QB on the Boise State football team named Cade Fennegan in 2020.  And he got to play vs. B.Y.U. as a true freshman (due to injuries to the top two QB's on the team in 2020.  In fact he played in three of the seven games Boise State played in 2020.  And he was a True Freshman at that time.

Fast forward to two years later, i.e., the 2022 season, and Cade Fennegan is listed on the B.Y.U. football team roster as a "Freshman".   He apparently served a two year mission in Argentina in the meantime BUT B.Y.U. is falsely listing him as a "Freshman" when he absolutely SHOULD be listed as a RS Freshman.

At any rate Fennegan will be on the sidelines on Saturday here in Boise (once again) only he will be on the B.Y.U. sideline and not on the Boise State sideline.  And according to some Fennegan will be B.Y.U.'s third string QB for the Boise State game.

What is he now like 24 year old freshman?  Some of the kids on BYU's team are practically pushing 30 by time they do mission, redshirt, covid year.  You could legitimately be like 8 years out of high school I think, if you had medical year also.

In 2020, Finnegan was a true freshman for Boise State, and appeared in less than 4 games, so he was able to redshirt and not lose a year of eligibility.  In 2021, he transferred to BYU, and did not play, but used his ext extra "Covid" year.  In 2022, he still has 4 years of eligibility, meaning he is a 3rd year Freshman.  It is purely due to Covid, and is common across the country.  The Broncos also have some 3rd year freshmen on their roster.
