After losing the first game today

to Michigan 1-2 - as a result of going 0-8 with runners in scoring position - the task at hand gets MUCH tougher with the 2nd game today and the last game of the weekend tomorrow against the host school Stanford.  I say that because Stanford - just like Boise State - played two games against Georgia earlier this season.   Boise State lost both of their games to Georgia by scores of 4-12 in five innings and 1-14 also in five innings Stanford BEAT Georgia 3-1 in 10 innings and 3-0 in their 2nd game vs. Georgia.

Caught some of the Stanford game and we missed out early in the first with 2 runners on and no outs. Hit into a double play and then K'd for the 3rd out. Didn't get a run and unfortunately for us the bats stayed quiet all afternoon. Pretty sure we only had 1 base runner get on after the first inning as well. Pitching was solid. Aside from a 3 run inning the staff gave our offense opportunity to get something going. Hopefully they can get the bats going tomorrow and end the weekend on a positive note.
