JD's tweet doesn't mention a specific timeline but Monday does seem to sound right based on the wording of his tweet.

I'm reading into this message and to me it sounds like whoever the new head coach will be it will NOT be Spencer Danielson. And if my read on that is correct I think J.D. is making a BIG mistake.

Very possible that JD is requiring the new HC to keep SD on as Assistant Head Coach and DC. JD could be negotiating this right now. The longer they go the more likely it is not SD and the portal opens tomorrow. There will be a 3pm press conference today to discuss the upcoming LA Bowl. Who knows what else is discussed.

It was a teleconference hosted by the LA bowl per BJ. Chip Kelly of UCLA and SD were part, BJ posted a number of tweets about what was said. Not a JD hosted conference at BSU.

Looks plain vanilla, with both coaches heaping praise on each other. Nothing burger.

A little surprised it’s Danielson because I thought maybe we needed a seasoned HC at this particular moment. But honestly the way the team has responded last few weeks and the leadership I’ve seen with him on the sidelines has really got me feeling good about the idea of him taking over. Sometimes the best person for the job is already on the staff. You can’t say he hasn’t earned the opportunity for a chance. Let’s go coach!
