Strongly considered transferring to Boise State (top three) was Montana State OL Rush Reimer (who chose Cal over Boise State and Texas Tech)

I have to wonder if they brought in Earby as a Safety and not as a CB. Boise State has four very experienced CB's returning next fall in McCoy, Clark, Reed and Kaniho and they already have 10 scholarship CB's. Whereas for three Safety spots they have only 8 scholarship Safeties.

They could very well try and move him to safety but i think we will be rotating quite a few guys in a CB until one of them really takes that next step. McCoy came on strong last year and was arguably the best DB for us. Clark and Reed both had their moments. Reed's biggest issue isn't necessarily his play but just being able to stay healthy. Clark at times last year looked like he was our best DB but he was also probably the most targeted DB as well. Could very well just be due to him having to guard other teams best WR or just simply a up and down year. I think this group can take a big step forward next year. From the 2nd half vs SJSU to the UNLV game they really flipped a switch and played really well. Bowl game vs UCLA we looked like we did early in the year but i liked the steady growth shown before that game

Wasn't there something about him a day or two ago? He was the DE who was playing at Ball State with the recently hired Boise State coach isn't he?
