CJ Tiller transfers

I really can't blame him at all. This is a situation where he is likely going to be 3rd string this year. And both the QBs in front of him are the same class as he is. Unless one of those transnfers, his chance of playing time here were not that high.

By my count the current number of scholarship players - including those who will be joining the team in August - now stands at a total of 87. So at least two more players - it would seem - will be leaving by next Tuesday.

Tiller was NOT on my list of the players likely to be leaving.

A quality person who wants to play. With Nelson and Madsen ahead of him his chances were challenging at best. He was all in as a Bronco. I hope he finds a landing spot where he will play and be successful.

This also now leaves Boise State with only 3 scholarship QB's - just like last fall. And IMO that simply is not enough scholarship QB's for an entire season of football. Madsen has already missed a lot of time with his injury. If Nelson & Madsen get injured at ANY TIME between now and next January that would leave only true freshman Kaleb Arnett as the only remaining scholarship QB and he won't even arrive at Boise State till next August.

The easiest solution - again IMO - would be to put long-time walk-on QB Colt Fulton on scholarship - which would also mean three current scholarship players would have to be leaving the team - rather than just two.
