Boise State vs.U.N.L.V. tournament game thread

I was just getting ready to make game thread!

I have to say I think a win here will propel us to the championship game. New Mexico and Utah State is going to be a 7 round heavyweight fight and at the pace they each play they will be gassed and their legs won't be the same for our game. Which is great for us because both of these teams live and die by the 3 and when those legs are weak those 3's just don't fall the same.

Up in the northern side of the bracket I thought Colorado State was going to do it which would have been awesome for us as I would have much rather played Nevada than SDSU. But that's not how it crumbled. Right now SJSU and Nevada are back and forth. I hope UNR wins so that SDSU has a harder path to the championship game but underdog stories are great.

Anyway I feel great about tonights game, just need to shut down harkless I believe is his name and we will be in great shape. Need Tyson to hit his jumpers this week.

Well, I was getting ready to shut it down (for me) on this site today at a quarter to 4 p.m. But nobody had yet started a thread on this at that point. And since I have to approve the new threads here I just try to start a thread for games such as these here. I just happened to check back here around 5:30 and saw your response. Looks like Nevada is about to get beat by San Jose State. With 1:20 left in overtime SJS is leading Nevada by 7 points.

Unlv made a short 8-0 run and we got the last basket of the half. 50-34

Well, here we go. Our 22 pt lead down to 7, unlv with ball. Make it 5 pts and free throw coming. We are in trouble.

They blew it. Rebels up by 2 with 4 minutes left. Blew a 22 point lead. If we lose, very real probability, I say we do not deserve a ticket to the big dance. Unfortunately Rice's teams have a tendency to choke at the worst times.

OT. I will stand by what I said above, we do not deserve a tournament invite if whose. Go to the NIT and try our luck. They have not played well the last several games. Noticed that the Utah State students are cheering UNLV on.
