Wyoming fans outlook on the Boise State game

I looked at most of the recent posts on the Wyoming message forum and I'd have to characterize their mood as "less than optimistic".  Predictions of attendance as low as 15,000 or at most about 25,000.   Dissatisfaction with their head coach (sound familiar?).  Characterizing their team as young and beat up (who isn't beat up at this time of year?).  One Wyoming fan predicts Boise State wins 31-10, etc.

Draw your own conclusions:

As to who their QB will be it appears to be a game time decision as to whether or not Andrew Peasley will be cleared to play as he's going thru the concussion protocols.   Backup QB Jayden Clemons took the majority of snaps during Wyoming's practice on Monday and will start if Peasley isn't cleared to play.  Hank Gibbs will be the backup QB if Peasley can't play.

Frankly based on what I've  seen of Peasley and Clemons I'd much rather see Peasley as their starter.  Here are the WY QB efficiency ratings to date:

Clemons - 168.92 - 9 of 13 passes completed (69%) - 115 yds - 1 TD - 0 INT

Peasley - 110.91 - 114 of 216 passes completed (53%) - 1,284 yds - 9 TD's - 6 INT's

The extremely cold weather for Saturday, 32 high and 11 low, most likely in the 20's at game time, plus their defense will be a challenge.  While I expect us to win we could lose some guys from that frozen concrete turf.  Our key will be to run, run, run, successfully.  Plus timely passes for yardage, with shutting down their running game.  Their QB can take off too if we are not careful.  31-14 Broncos!

Sounds a lot like the Nevada game with hopefully the same result.  The big questions will be who can go on D and who survives the entire contest.  Our vaunted D is starting to look a lot like a MASH unit.  The offense is clicking right now and though Wyoming’s D is better than Nevada’s, I still see a BSU victory.  BSU 24 Wyoming 13.  Go Broncos!

Wyoming has their fair share of injury problems as well.   What I know for sure is Wyoming's run defense is going to be much better than Nevada was last Saturday.  They pride themselves on stopping the run so it MIGHT be more of a passing game for Boise State this week with the occasional run thrown in from time to time.
