I remember back when the very first Boise State forums came to being on the internet. There were two that I knew of back in those days and one of the two had a rule that everyone was well aware of back then. That rule was making NEGATIVE comments about the players who were playing for Boise State would result in a permanent ban from that forum.
The way I see it is everyone is entitled to their own opinion - whether it's positive or negative - but when you post comments on a PUBLIC forum that insults the players - especially by NAME - that is crossing WAY over the line.
Madsen's QB pass efficiency rating last night was 152.65. Which is pretty good. At the very least it's well above average. Did he look bad at times. Sure. Particularly in the early part of the game. However I've been watching football games for sixty plus years and I have yet to see a QB who had an error free game. So I'll take Madsen's results all day long for a couple of reasons. A. First off if you go back and actually read my comment I wasn’t insulting anyone and never questioned Madsen work ethic. I also agree he’s probably the best qb on the team currently. I was simply saying I’m not super confident in his ability to win a game the way you’d hope your starting qb could do without the incredible help he’s getting from the run game. And second If you can’t express your opinions on how you feel players and coaches are doing on a team message board what are we even doing here?
