1. Boise State rest their starters for the Utah State game and save them for the MW Championship game?

2. Play the starters 1/2 the game?

3.  Play the starters for as long as necessary to win the game?

They are finally on national TV, main CBS.  That showcase doesn’t come along very often and might be a bad look on the national stage.  But boy are they banged up and cannot afford to lose more players especially on D.  What about those close to coming back?  Do they play to bust off the rust or let them get healthier for the MW Championship game?  They will need all players available to counter Jake Haener.  Fresno will not be the same team they beat by 20 on October 8.  The coaches have some major decisions to make for Senior day, it should be interesting.
What’s your take?  Go Broncos!

I've already weighed in on this several times so I don't believe I have to repeat myself BUT

You either bring your A game or you should just stay home IMO.

As to being banged up they were banged up against Wyoming with 5 starters not in the lineup on defense.  Yet they still managed to win (barely) in Laramie.  Secondly they may just get some of those 5 guys back this week.  Or at least I hope a couple of them will be back in the starting lineup this week.

The easiest way to get "rusty" IMO is to slack-off and not play your very best in the game before the big game.   AA is always preaching "one game at a time".   I say listen to what he's saying.  The ONLY focus for this team for this week SHOULD be winning the Utah State game.    That other game should not be even remotely on the horizon just yet.

I think for guys like Washington, Ty Jones, Randolph and Noa you try to see if you can maybe get them limited reps if possible if they are able to but for the most part I think you roll into this game and treat it like any other. If we get into the late 3rd and 4th quarters with a multiple possession lead (3-4) then you start taking your guys out. I get the feeling this game might be closer than people assume. 10 am games for us seem to have that weird vibe and I believe that Utah State is more than capable of pulling an upset. They have played much better in the 2nd half of the season and have some dudes who can/will create problems for us if we are not on top of our game.

I don't think this one is close.  Utah State's defense is bad and will get exposed. Boise has the best passing defense in the conference and is very good against the run as well.

I think this would be a good game to rotate Vidlak/Maddog in at QB and Elylon and Crowe getting good reps at RB.  Also think it's more important to have Noa/Washington/Randolph/Jones for the Championship than this one.
