As is mentioned in this story Svitak was the very first Boise State player to be drafted into the NFL when Boise State was a 4 year school. Also mentioned in this story is he was a 1963 graduate of Borah High School in Boise who played one season at Boise Junior College and then served in the military. He served in the military for FOUR YEARS (Vietnam era) and then returned to Boise J.C. in 1967 which became Boise State College in 1965 (and Boise State University in 1974). He was 79 years old when he passed away in Oceanside, CA.
