Offensive lineman Riden Leong (former J.C. transfer to BSU) is no longer listed on the Boise State football roster at this point. I did not see anything about his departure from the team but it appears he is no longer on the BSU football team. If he is - in fact - no longer on the team then that is one less Boise State scholarship football player and helps get Boise State back down to 85 scholarship players.
Frankly of all of the Boise State football players who I thought MIGHT not be back for 2022 he was right at the top of the list. I don't mean that in a derogatory fashion - simply a statement of fact.
I also noticed that Tom Scott's Wednesday Scott Slant column only mentioned FOUR running backs "on the roster" but I counted five including Danny Smith. Scott's column made mention of those four RB's but made no mention of Smith. Yet Danny Smith is still listed on the Boise State football team roster.
