No longer on the 2022 Boise State football team roster

# 19 - Hank Bachmeier - QB - Entered the Transfer Portal in Sept.

# 30 - Isaiah Bagnah - DE - Will be entering the Transfer Portal in Dec.

# 47 - Alex Grant - LS - Walk-on who apparently has left the team

# 67 - Bryson Kievit - DT - It appears he didn't medically qualify this fall but has been cleared now (according to his twitter page).  His latest tweet - dated Nov. 17, 2022 - mentioned he has received an offer from "SOU" which I am assuming is Southern Oregon University?

I really wonder what Hank's value is.  I don't see him playing D1 football, maybe big sky or something like that.  Will be interesting to see

Don't get Bagnah transfering AFTER Tarlas gets hurt.  That makes no sense to me.  He could have gotten more reps, probably helped himself in transfer portal by playing out the season instead of just quitting the team.

I hate when players quit the team mid season and we aren't supposed to just call it what it is - quitting the team.  Hank quit team in middle of seaon and so did bagnah

You're certainly entitled to look at it however you wish but I see this as a positive (in both cases).  If a football player wants to leave to me that's a good thing.   You don't want disgruntled players on your team................DO YOU?

The transfer portal is a great thing as far as I'm concerned because those players who are disgruntled can go elsewhere and I say to them GOOD LUCK & BON VOYAGE.   The situation for Hank, in particular, made a GREAT deal of sense and Boise State (more than anyone) was better off because of his decision.

However they aren't quitting IMO they are simply exercising their right to transfer and doing what they think is best for them.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with that IMO.   That's not quitting - it's simply acting in one's own best interest and everybody does that every single day of their life.
