MWC quarterbacks who won't be back for 2023

Air Force - Haaziq Daniels - Likely replacement (who knows when it comes to Air Force) may be Ben Brittain or Zachary Larrier (both Juniors in 2022)

Fresno State - Jake Haener - Likely replacement Logan Fife (a 2022 RS Sophomore)

Nevada - Nate Cox - Likely replacement Shane Illingworth (listed as a RS Sophomore for 2022)

New Mexico's Miles Kendrick and San Diego State's Jalen Mayden are listed as RS Seniors this season so whether they will or won't be back for 2023 remains to be seen.

One thing Id keep a look out for both San Diego State and Fresno State this offseason: I dont think its out of the realm of possibility at all for Bachmeier to end up at one of those two schools. San Diego States campus is a short drive from where he went to high school. Fresno is a little longer drive but not awful.

Agreed..............and they are certainly welcome to have him on their team.

The odd thing is tho I recall seeing a website that deals in all things having to do with the transfer portal and - according to THEM - there were roughly a half a dozen schools who they said had expressed interest in him and none of them were named Fresno State or San Diego State.

I was wrong again San Diego was one of the schools mentioned in that article.  Here are the schools they said had interest in Bachmeier:

"Buffalo, Houston, UConn, Pittsburgh, Hawaii, Tulane, Akron, San Diego State" as well as Montana.

However this article was published two MONTHS ago and hasn't been updated since then.  Here is a url link to that article:

If you want to look at Power 5 schools, Kentucky is a team to watch for. I believe I remember reading that the OC for the Wildcats had worked with a few HS QBs before they stepped on campus and he was one of them. BUT the one problem is that Rich Scangarello may or may not be the OC next season after what was a disappointing season for his offensive unit. It was only year 1 for him but SEC schools dont play around. Especially ones with high expectations for a season and fall well short.

The other schools that got listed are intriguing. The only MW teams I could honestly see him going to would be SDSU or Fresno. I dont think he would go to Hawaii. UCONN is certainly in play though. Mora was very high on Bach when he was in HS and Mora was at UCLA. I could see that being a definite landing spot for him. I dont see Bach going FCS. I really don't. I do think he will land at a FBS but some of those schools like Akron, Hawaii, Tulane, Pittsburgh and Buffalo I'd be very shocked if he landed at one of them.
