The forum does need more participation though.  There are a lot of people signed up, but only a handful who chat regularly.

Secondly I can not be on this forum all day and all night WAITING for someone else to start a new thread.  Especially considering that the lack of activity here during the morning and early afternoon hours is next to nothing. Other than the messages that I post here.

Also I have posted a message here that mentioned that if you want a new topic approved it's best to post it prior to 3 p.m. in the afternoon.  As I am usually off of my computer after that.  However there are days where I will leave the computer on and check back between 3 p.m. and as late as 7 p.m.  to see if anyone has a new thread that can be approved.  So 3 p.m. is not a line in the sand sort of deadline.

Maybe - if you think you may want to post a message later in the day about - say a basketball game that is going to take place later that day - then you should consider posting a message about that game prior to 3 p.m. to get that thread started.  Doing that would insure that when the game is being played that thread is available for you to post your comments.

My second suggestion would be that perhaps these forums need a 2nd moderator who can approve topics in the mid-afternoon and evening.  And also delete spam-bot messages and approve attempted new topics.

Lastly, and probably most importantly, SOMETHING needs to be done for these forums which makes it 100 % impossible for these spam-bots to post ANY messages here.  There are hundreds and hundreds of other forums where spam-bots have been prohibited from posting messages on those forums.  So there has to be a way to do that.   Doing THAT would eliminate the need to have topics approved.   Just a thought.
