Friday Sept. 2 - Boise State XC begins anohter season

Seven of the top ten men's XC runners for Boise State return for the 2022 season.  Boise State's 2021 XC team finished 2nd at the 2021 Mountain West Cross Country championships to Air Force.  Here are the top 4 scores from the 2021 MWC Men's XC championships:

  1. Air Force - 27
  2. Boise State - 64
  3. Utah State - 79
  4. Colorado State - 80

Boise State's top two finishers at the 2021 Men's 10K Cross Country championships do not return in Darro DeCaro and Jack Leitch but the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th & 9th finishers for Boise State at that event are on the roster again this season in the following:

Jonathan Sheilds - 2022 Senior

Ahmed Ibrahim - 2022 Sophomore

Matty Mackay - 2022 Sophomore

Murdoch McIntyre - 2022 Junior

Freddie Carcas - 2022 Senior

Austen Apperson - 2022 Sophomore

Nathan Dunn - 2022 Senior was listed on the results for Boise State as D.N.F. (and he too is back)

At any rate the 2022 Boise State XC season begins this Friday, much like it did last season, at the College of Southern Idaho Classic in Twin Falls, Idaho.  This annual event appears to be scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.

Looks like the College of Southern Idaho Classic cross country event was cancelled due to "extreme" weather in the Twin Falls area.
