Former Boise State & Texas A & M pitcher Kelsey Broadus

Kelsey Broadus spent last season as a Volunteer Coach at Boise State - where she played Softball for 4 years before transferring to Texas A & M for her final year of eligibility.  In 2018 Broadus was the Mountain West Pitcher of the year and also named to the 1st Team All MWC team.   For at least three of her four years at Boise State she was the # 1 pitcher for the Broncos.

Getting to the point - Kelsey was hired in July as the latest addition to the Idaho State softball coaching team.   As you may or may not recall Andrew Rich - who was the Associate Head Softball coach for Boise State under the previous head coach (Huffaker) at Boise State - is and has been for the last year the head Softball coach at Idaho State.  And he is and has been assisted by former Boise State softball player Rebekah Cervantes.  With the hiring of Kelsey Broadus Idaho State's three paid coaches are all former players or coaches of Boise State.

Also, Kelsey is or was Justinian Jessup's girlfriend.  I don't know the status now, but JJ was often at the softball games when Kelsey was starting.  Good to see that she has a paying gig.

Last I knew of Jessup is he's been playing for two years in Australia for the Illawarra Hawks.

He was the 51st player drafted in the NBA draft about 2 years ago (2020) by the Golden State Warriors.  And he was playing for the Hawks before he was drafted and then he returned to the Hawks for the 2021-2022 season after the 2020 NBA draft.   I'm not sure of how that happened but that is what occurred.

Long-distance relationships being what they are I would think it's very unlikely that they are still together.  Especially since Kelsey spent the 2021 NCAA softball season playing for Texas A & M.  But anything's possible I suppose.
