Colorado fires their head football coach - Mike Sanford hired

Karl Dorrell has been fired at Colorado.  Former Bronco player and OC Mike Sanford (the Colorado OC) has been named as the interim head football coach at Colorado.

Colorado also fired their D.C. as well.

Sanford seems like he has a different job every year.  Maybe he has had some jobs couple of years at best.  And I would kind of doubt he is retained by the next coach.  Sanford was a good OC at Boise State, but I would not want him back.  Would be immediately looking for another job

Actually I think the exact opposite on Sanford.  I agree his career has had lots of bumps.  From leaving Boise State to be the O.C. at friggin' NOTRE DAME to less than impressive results as a head coach at - what was it ? - Western Kentucky I want to say.   Who can blame him for leaving Boise State after one year (2014) as the O.C. at Boise State to go work at NOTRE DAME?  I certainly don't blame him or anyone else who was offered that king of opportunity. For that kind of $$$$.  And if I recall it correctly - at that time - he said he would not leave Boise State for any other job EXCEPT Notre Dame as that was his "dream job".

However, the last few years, whenever he's taken on a new job he has publicly stated this is the last one.  Only to be proven wrong.

When (not IF) he is let go at Colorado due to the coaching change it can hardly be characterized as his fault.

Lastly I think he would LOVE to return to Boise State (where he had his best success as an O.C.).  I think he would welcome it even if the salary was not quite up to what he has been paid of late.  He played his college ball AT Boise State from 2000 thru 2004.    His first O.C. job was at Boise State in 2014.  And if you think he wants to be going from job to job every year I'd suggest you might want to re-think that.  Nobody WANTS to be going from one job to another year after year.  Especially when the move is a lateral move at best.
