Agreed but unclear what you meant when you wrote "at even that level of school". F.A.U. is a member of Conference USA so they are a FBS school. And C-USA is basically at the same level as the Mountain West Conference.

As I said several times I am not a "hater" of Bachmeier but I'm also not a fan of his either. I hope he does well for F.A.U. and it all works out there for him. Their 2022 starting QB was a 5th year Senior so they are in need of a new starter. Also their 2023 football roster (why doesn't Boise State have a 2023 football roster yet?) lists only two quarterbacks.

FAU is going to be in the AAC next season but overall I like this fit for Bachmeier. I thought for sure he would be playing closer to home at a school in Cali. I just want him to be able to regain his confidence and get back to the gunslinger he was when he first stepped on campus in 2019 and I think Tom Herman can definitely help him get there.

Speaking of Florida Atlantic their 2022 football roster had five QB's listed for their 2022 season. THREE of those five QB's (all underclassmen) are NOT listed on the FAU roster for 2023. The three now missing QB's for FAU from 2022 are:

# 12 - Michael Johnson, Jr. - a 2022 SO from Eugene, OR

# 19 - T. J. Smith - a 2022 True FR from Fort Lauderdale, FL

# 10 - Willie Taggart - a 2022 SO from Tallahassee, FL

Only one of these three 2022 FAU quarterbacks are listed on the Transfer Portal for FAU - that being Taggart and he's listed as an "Athlete". However there are now two incoming transfer QB's listed for FAU. Bachmeier is one of those two incoming transfer QB's and the other is a Daniel Richardson from Central Michigan.

One of the most recent former Boise State players to enter the TP has received an offer from Utah Tech - that being the school in Utah that used to be known as Dixie State University.

Updated today to reflect the fact that there is now conflicting information regarding Hank Bachmeier. He is NOW projected to sign with Louisiana Tech and not U.A.B. So I edited his listing on the first page here and removed the "committed to U.A.B." portion of his listing here.

I see you have Russell Corrigan listed as being in the transfer portal. I saw where he WAS listed on the updated Boise State football roster last week but now his name has been removed from that roster.

I also checked his twitter account and the 247Sports transfer portal page for Boise State and saw no mention of him entering the TP. Where did you come across this news?

It does make sense tho - to some extent - as he graduated from Boise State in December as a RS Sophomore.

With the loss of Corrigan that leaves only 3 scholarship TE's from last season on the Boise State roster for spring ball. That being Riley Smith, Matt Lauter and Austin Terry. However incoming True Freshman Cayden Dawson is said to be on campus.
