Quote from BroncoChief on November 26, 2022, 11:34 amStatistically these two match up well. But, a good portion of the averages for Fresno are without a healthy Jake Haener. A pro level QB changes all the metrics. Fresno is playing well and dominating, they beat Wyoming last night 30-0. Wyoming could get nothing going all night long. Defensively Fresno blocked 2 punts, one accounting for a safety. They gave up 104 yds rushing and 87 passing yards. Fresno ended the game with 183 passing and 114 rushing. Not eye popping numbers, but a total team win.
Although Fresno is playing well going into the championship game, BSU just keeps finding ways to win. BSU just needs to find one more way to win. Hopefully our D will be healthier this weekend. Weather could be somewhat of a factor, there is a percentage for a chance of snow but we’ll see as the week progresses. Go Broncos!

- I just don't want a repeat of the last championship that we played them on the blue, in the snow. Hopefully we can keep some pressure on their QB and limit the pass. I think if we can do that then we will do well, but I am nervous.

You make good points here but I have to point out that Haener missed four games after being injured in their game @ U.S.C. That's the same amount of games that Boise State had with Hank Bachmeier as the starting QB this season. Granted Bachmeier was not in the first game very long before being replaced by Taylen Green but I think my point is valid. Both starting QB's for Boise State and Fresno State did not start four games this fall.
