2023 Boise State indoor Volleyball recruits

As far as I can tell Boise State has commitments from two H.S. volleyball players for the 2023 season. If I have missed someone please update me.

OPP - Layla Smith - Atascotita H.S. - Atascocita, TX - HT - 6' 2"
OPP/OH - Reagan Elizondo - Cornerstone Christian H.S. - Spring Branch, TX - HT - 6' 1

And it appears that Boise State also has a verbal commitment for 2024 in Karina Ochoa of Tokay H.S. in Lodi, CA.

Thanks for the info. After last night we need some solid defenders. So I hope coach has some ready to come in and play. Montana State's back defenders were amazing and returned some of the most wicked hits from our hitters. So we lost a close game that should have been a solid win.

Garrus recruits really good hitters and gives them scholarships, but only one defender is on scholarship.

I was only able to follow last night's results via the Live Results link so I didn't actually watch any of that match. But when Boise State lost the 4th set I kind of figured that they were in trouble. And sure enough they ended up losing the 5th set 15-11.

The Montana State website referred to their win last night as an "upset" but I don't see how that's considered an upset as Montana State beat Boise State 3-1 last season and this year they won 3-2. Both teams are in conferences that go to the N.C.A.A. tournament. Last season the Big Sky representative for the N.C.A.A. Volleyball tournament was Northern Colorado. And the Mtn West Conference was represented at that same 2021 N.C.A.A. Volleyball tournament by Boise State.
