Sadraque Nganga, a four-star 6-foot-9 power forward has verbally committed to play under Leon Rice at Boise State, first reported by Joe Tipton of On3 Recruits on social media.
Nganga had offers lining up from multiple blue blood programs including Kentucky, Arizona and UCLA before injuries to the prospect from Chandler, AZ precipitated that he may look elsewhere.
Now healthy, Nganga took visits to both St. Mary’s and Memphis before his trip to the Treasure Valley to see Boise State. For the Broncos, Nganga may be the best recruit the Boise State basketball program has ever landed.
“I like their coaches,” Nganga told On3 Recruits. “When I took my visit, I noticed it’s a place where you can focus on basketball and school. That’s your main focus. The coaches will let you play your game and play through your mistakes.”

As for what Nganga may bring to what could again be a star-studded Bronco roster in the 2022-23 season?
Nganga told On3 Recruits, “Just being able to score, that’s the most important thing I can do. The coaches have told me how I need to be a good leader, lead by example, bring energy each game, and be a good teammate. Just do whatever it takes to win.”
If Nganga can stay healthy, the ESPN top-100 star may be one of the best mid-major steals of the signing class.
“Sada is versatile and passes the ball very well for his size,” Kaimarr Price, local Arizona coach at Mountain Pointe High School said. “It’ll be exciting to watch him once he’s 100% healthy. He’s got a ton of upside.”
