Bronco Nation News is taking a look at 25 questions about the Boise State football team heading into the 2024 season. Next up in our series is No. 22: What are the hardest games on Boise State’s schedule?
A cross-country trip to Georgia Southern and a trip to Eugene to face a ranked Oregon in consecutive weeks to start the season certainly is not an ideal way to kick off the first full year of Spencer Danielson era.
But Boise State’s schedule is pretty manageable after that.
The Broncos don’t play Air Force or Fresno State this season, and get Washington State, Oregon State, Utah State, San Diego State and Nevada all at Albertsons Stadium in Boise.
The toughest road game is probably a late-season trip to Wyoming due to the potential for snow, but the Broncos also play at San Jose State, Hawaii and UNLV – all winnable games.
So how would BNN rank Boise State’s toughest games on the schedule? Oregon certainly is the toughest, and the trip to Georgia Southern might be second – mostly due to the long travel, uncertainty of the first game and Georgia Southern being a decent team.
After that? At Wyoming, at UNLV and the home games against Washington State and Oregon State would seem to be the toughest.
