The Boise State defense had three interceptions and three sacks and dominated the offense Saturday at Albertsons Stadium in a 42-28 win.
The win means the defense got a steak dinner Saturday night while the offense had to settle for hamburgers.
“We’re going to eat good, real good,” said safety JL Skinner, who had an interception. “I plan on getting two or three of them and letting the offense see me eating them. It’s great to get a steak over a burger.”
Skinner, Seyi Oladipo and Jaylen Clark had interceptions for the defense, while Braxton Fely, Ty Tanner and Ahmed Hassanein had sacks.
Quarterback Hank Bachmeier was 12-for-23 for 105 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Stefan Cobbs had six catches for 61 yards and one score.
